At Marcote UK we have managed to optimise the rallying potential and experience of this Mark 2 Escort by applying various coatings from our range to a multitude of the cars components.

Dry lubricity coatings have been applied to the gear box and piston rings and both of these parts now have a pro longed life as a direct result of our application. The life has been lengthened because the coating reduces friction meaning the wear to the components has been reduced.

A non stick coating has been applied to the wheel arches of the car. What this has achieved is a serious reduction in the build of mud, this means the car is lighter and is allowed to move at a faster pace and that there is less cleaning to do!

On the bottom of the car we have applied a protective, poly urethane coating which increases 'bounce', less wear to the bottom of the car allows for a longjevity of life.

Finally we apply an anti-corrosion coating to parts of the car that are suceptible to large ammounts of damage as a result of excessive wear and extreme weathering. Parts such as hinges and brackets have proven to really benefit from this coating and shown an extended life as a direct result of this application.

By sponsoring this rally car we have managed to try and test many new coatings and are currently developing new coats that will be trialed on the Marcote UK Rally Team's car. The developments that we are able to make using this rally car means that we are constantly allowed to improve our service to the many industries that we do work for and can always try and achieve exactly what it is that our customers need.
